Aldo Mondino: C'è festa e fiesta
29 June – 31 August 1996
Siena, Galleria Alessandro Bagnai
curated by Alessandro Bagnai
Aldo Mondino. C'è festa e fiesta is a celebrated solo exhibition by the Turin-based master held in 1996. The event, curated by the Galleria Alessandro Bagnai in Siena, explored the artist’s exotic, colourful and festive imagery through two mirror-image, twin works: ‘La festa’ and ‘La fiesta’.
The theme of the exhibition fits perfectly within Mondino’s artistic vision, as he has always been fascinated by the colours and atmospheres of the Global South, in a play on words that combines the Italian ‘festa’ with the Spanish term
Aldo Mondino: it’s party time
