The exhibition presents a visual narrative by the photographer through a selection of around 150 photographs.
The exhibition traces Abate’s work through the ‘lens’ of his archive and brings together photographs of artworks, artists and exhibitions from the 1960s to the 2000s, which document the art and exhibition scene in Italy and abroad, as well as photographs of theatre, fashion, costume and current affairs. The exhibition is organised into nine thematic sections that highlight the photographer’s most frequent collaborations and recurring interests.
